I am now at my parents place to have a couple of days off and to celebrate christmas, i.e eat too much food and chocolate and hopefully spend some time with my family when we are being civilised and not argueing.
But the getting here took it's time...
First I realised the company I booked my train ticket with hadn't actually sent me my ticket so I had to stop by their office before getting on the train. When I got there they had three people working when they should have had at least 10 and the machine that gives out your queing ticket was busted so people were just trying to elbow their way forward along with giant suitcases and bags. When I finally got to the front of the que the stupid bitch (yes, she really was a complete bitch in every aspect) tries telling me that she can't find my booking!!! I wouldn't have that so I made her check again and again and again until she finally found my ticket to my destination. Problem was that I had booked my return ticket at the same time so needed her to give me this ticket as well, which of course she tried telling me didn't exist. By this time I was getting really annoyed since I actually had a train to catch and didn't have time to stand there argueing with her. After explaining as nicely as I possibly could that I didn't pay that price for both tickets to just be given one cause someone who obviously couldn't do their job properly was trying to scam me out of my return ticket, she finally found my other booking and gave me both my tickets. Of course after I finally got my ticket they announced that the train had been delayed for 20 min... lovely, just lovely! After 20 min I was finally on my way but feeling really thirsty since I had completely forgotten to buy some water to bring with me on the train. Then of course they tell us that they do have a cafeteria on the train but unfortunately they have no staff working there so they have to stay closed... So no water for me. Train ride was on of the few things that were actually ok and I reached my next stop only about 15 min late which was also ok since my transfer bus was going to wait for me. Then I only had 30 min by bus before getting home.
But, the story doesn't end here. I got on the bus, got comfortable which was easy since there was only like 4 people on it and then the bus was ready to leave...which it didn't of course... Turns our the parking brakes had actually gotten frozen which meant we had no chance of leaving. Sure, we had -17 degrees but shouldn't the buses be able to work even in cold weather??? We then had to wait another hour for another bus...
I finally arrived at my destination way to late in such a crappy mood. (wouldn't you be if you were in my shoes??) My mom contemplated sending me back as soon as I got there but she got over it when I told her I had an early christmas present for her. I am sneaky that way!
Now I am here and we have plenty of snow. I am gonna force my brother to build a snowman with me while I am here. In return he is gonna force me to play Zelda on Nintendo like we used to do a few years ago. Fair trade I say!
Feels good to be home. Last time before I move to London!

The girl can't help it, she's clumsy
I. Am. Clumsy.
How u ask? Well...over the last three days I've managed to
fall flat down on my stomach while ice skating,
spill a cup of coffee over a A before he was getting ready to board the plane back to Ldn,
slip on some icy steps and somehow twist my arm in a way it apparently shouln't be twisted,
accidently knock over a box of macaroni at home resulting in my entire kitchen floor being covered in those small stupid macaronis.
The only good thing is that when I slipped on the steps I was actually about to knock my head into the ground so it could have been worse I guess. I could have had to gone to the hospital with a broken head, now I'm only on strong painkillers for a twisted arm. Hooray for painkillers! Might make the last days at work before the christmas holidays more bearable. Another good thing is that now since I can't eat the macaronis I have no lunch to bring to work tomorrow meaning I'll have nothing to eat and that means I'll get skinny right?? ...??..No?
Just lovely...
One thing that is good for real is that I booked my one way ticket to London today. On 30 jan I'll leave my old life behind to try London. Can't wait.
Welcome to this blog and enjoy the ride.
